Game Specific Rules

The following are the rules for Street Fighter IV on XBox360 for the NamLAN 2009.

Game and Match settings

Mode: Versus Mode / Player vs Player

Rounds (per match): Best of 5

Round Time Limit: 60 seconds

Character: Any (Character Colour: Any / Win Quote: Any)

Stage: Random

Controller Settings: Default (you may bring your own Stick with default settings)

Legs and Rounds

Leg 1 / Round 1

• All 16 gamers will challenge each other in a round robin series of matches (4 matches will be played at one time - 1 match per opponent)
• Top 8 gamers will advance to Round 2 winner group
• Bottom 8 gamers will advance to Round 2 loser group.

Leg 1 / Round 2

• All 8 gamers in the winner group will challenge each other in a round robin series of matches (2 matches will be played at one time - 3 match per opponent)
• All 8 gamers in the loser group will challenge each other in a round robin series of matches (2 matches will be played at one time - 3 match per opponent)
• Top 7 gamers from winner group will advance to Leg 2
• Top gamer from loser group will advance to Leg 2

Leg 2 / Round 1 (Quater Finals)

• All 8 gamers in Leg 2 group will challenge each other in a round robin series of matches (2 matches will be played at one time - 1 match per opponent)
• Top 4 gamers will advance to Round 2 (Semi Finals)
• >> Remaining 8 gamers from Leg 1 will challenge each other in a round robin series of matches for ranking purposes (2 matches will be played at one time - 1 match per opponent)

Leg 2 / Round 2 (Semi Finals)

• All 4 gamers in Leg 2 group 2 will challenge each other in a round robin series of matches (2 matches will be played at one time - 1 match per opponent)
• Top 2 gamers will advance to Round 3 (Finals)
• Bottom 2 gamers will advance to Round 3 (3rd place play-off)

Leg 2 / Round 3 (Finals and 3rd place play-off)

• Top two gamers from Round 2 will challenge each other in the final match to determine the 1st and 2nd place winners.
• Bottom two gamers from Round 2 will challenge each other in the play-off match to determine the 3rd and 4th place winners.
